Austriahütte Ramsau am Dachstein...
The Austriahütte (1.638m) is a refuge of the Alpine Club and offers good opportunities for hikes and excursions around the Dachstein in summer and winter. The Austriahütte serves as an ideal base camp for other tours, such as the Dachsteinhüttenrunde.
Remarkable is the Alpine Museum, the highest museum in Styria. The exhibition deals with the geological formation of the Dachstein massif, the beginning of alpinism and the conquest of the Dachstein.
The Austriahütte can be reached after a 30-minute hike from the terminus Türlwandhütte of the Dachsteinstraße.
